The goal of this platform is to support the real revolutionaries of the Sahel in their struggle to reclaim their countries from the reactionary forces that stole them and are now destroying them. These forces include Western imperialists, military coupists, jihadist terrorists, and the new foreign allies and sponsors of the military juntas and jihadists.

1. Although currently in geopolitical retreat in the region, Western imperialists continue to suffocate the Sahel through their racist, neocolonialist, capitalist, extractivist, and ecocidal policies toward Africa, which are destroying the Continent and the Black Diaspora.

2. To preserve their parasitic class interests, the coupist military officers have deserted the front lines of the struggle against the jihadists to stage coups against their civilian accomplices and former employers. To grant themselves a false sense of political legitimacy, these opportunistic and impostor tropical rambos have hijacked the peoples’ struggles and stolen the revolutions of our Sahelian comrades. But, because of their fear, cowardice, and incompetence, they have failed so miserably in the fight against terrorism that their countries are at risk of falling into the hands of the jihadists at any moment.

3. Jihadist terrorists are culturally and religiously deranged reactionaries who take populations hostage to impose, through extreme violence and brutality, an anti-African and obscurantist order.

4. Finally, there are these new foreign masters who support and sponsor the military juntas and the jihadists. Indeed, just like the Western imperialists of the past, the geopolitical allies of the military juntas and jihadist terrorists in the Sahel also operate along the same lines of predation, looting, rape, massacres, racism, slavery, and the destruction of African wealth, culture, and bodies.

This platform was created by African revolutionaries who have long supported progressive forces and revolutionary activists in West Africa in general and in the Sahel in particular. We have always done so because we understand the geostrategic importance of the Sahel in the struggle for the liberation and reconstruction of entire Africa. Indeed, if we lose the Sahel, we risk losing all of Africa. The members of this platform are therefore held to high standards of moral integrity, ideological maturity, and political consistency. In this regard, we distinguish ourselves from—and oppose—the CNN-style pan-Africanists, the Al Jazeera-internationalists, the BBC-cosmopolitists, the TV5-universalists, and the Russian TV-anti-globalists, who have taken an interest in the Sahel solely out of opportunism and because it is fashionable, that is, when the struggles there were publicized and made ‘sexy’ by the information and communication war and the propaganda battle waged by Western powers and their geopolitical rivals in Africa at the expense of the African people.

We have great respect and admiration for the courage, moral integrity, and ideological consistency of those of our former and new Sahelian Comrades who a) have remained sincere anti-imperialists, b) who have refused to lick the boots of the military coupists, c) who oppose their imposture and their reign of terror, d) who are fighting jihadists and other religious fundamentalists and obscurantists of all stripes, e) who continue to wage a radical struggle against state tribalism and ethno-fascist lobbies and groups, and f) who never cease to work toward the unification of the Sahel, West Africa, and the whole of Africa.
We also applaud g) their determination to fight against the rollback or reversal of the gains made through their struggles for political pluralism, human rights, gender equality and equity, the rights of youth and children, workers’ rights and trade union freedoms, freedom of expression, assembly, and association, and other social rights.

Even if we do not always agree with their approaches, strategies, and tactics, we will always support them and cooperate with them while respecting their independence and autonomy. However, in the current context of the ethical bankruptcy of Pan-Africanism—marked by the cynicism of the Pan-Obamanists, the opportunism of the (neo)panafricons, and the moral fraud of the panafri-scoundrels and panafri-swindlers—a new philosophy of African Revolutionary Solidarity is indispensable. It must be rooted in the revolutionary legacy of our S/Heroic Ancestresses and Ancestors from the Continent and the Diaspora, for only this legacy can enable us to effectively reconquer, completely liberate, and positively rebuild the Sahel and the rest of Africa.
In fact, most of the former progressive and revolutionary Comrades of West Africa themselves acknowledge today that, if they had listened to us since the 1990s and if they had done what we have always advised them to do, the Sahel would not be in the tragic situation it finds itself in today.

It is therefore urgent that African revolutionaries rediscover, rehabilitate, reclaim, and implement this ancestral revolutionary ethic. In this sense, “Reconquering the Sahel” is a space for exchange, discussion, interaction, education, re-education, and empowerment, built on ancestral revolutionary values applied to the specific case of the Sahel in crisis. 5. if you are ready to free yourself from alienating foreign ideologies and ways of thinking and acting

6. and if you are determined to overcome the contradictions, shortcomings, errors, and failures of Pan-Africanism and other ideologies and illusions that have rendered the progressives and revolutionaries of the Sahel and West Africa incapable of preventing opportunistic military and messianic coupists, obscurantist jihadists, and racist foreign predators from stealing the Sahel from us and plunging Africa into this tragic situation.
