*THERE IS NO REVOLUTION BY PROXY.*.
The illusions of panafri-coupism and the urgent need for real revolutions in Africa..

1.
Today’s pan-Africanists (« neo-pan-Africanists ») are the only revolutionaries in the
world who endorse, love, celebrate and worship corrupt criminals in uniform who
have oppressed, tortured, raped and slaughtered revolutionaries and populations
for over 60 years to impose and maintain neo-colonial civilian elites in power and
consolidate the interests of their Western imperialist and racist masters. Moreover,
after orchestrating their palace revolution and seizing power, the military
bourgeoisie fled the front line of the fight against the jihadists to hide in the capitals
and palaces of their former employers. They then set up security fortresses and
bunkers to protect themselves and their families, while the civilians are abandoned
to the barbaric fury of the jihadists.
2.
The argument the neo-panafricoons put forward over and over again to justify their
coupism syndrome is that the people would approve of coups d’état and support
military putschists. But if it’s true that the popular masses applaud coups d’état, that means they would have applauded real revolutions too, right? And
if it’s true that the people support putschists, they would also have supported real revolutionaries.
So the question is: why don’t pan-Africanists make real revolutions? The answer:
because they’re too disorganized, too undisciplined, too lazy, too scared and too
cowardly to organize and carry out a revolution. So the putschists allow them to
make a kind of revolution by proxy. (Only in Africa and the Black Diaspora do
people believe in this kind of nonsense).
3.
By siding with the uniformed criminals who are overthrowing the regimes they have zealously served for decades, the panafri-fearful can continue to pass themselves off as s/heroes without having to pay the price of true revolutionary s/heroism.
Indeed, the real revolution would have consisted in confronting and defeating the
corrupt neo-colonial regimes in power, together with the criminal military and police
who protect them and their Western imperialist puppeteers and masters. There is no shortcut to revolution. But that’s too much work and too much risk for the
neo-panafricanists. So they have to use the false argument of peoples’ support for
putschists to justify their support for and alliance with these reactionaries in uniform
of brutality and crime.
4.
But as if this intellectual fraud and political opportunism weren’t enough, we’ve even
seen and heard more and more of these neo-panafricanists claiming that it was they
who installed the military in power. The fact that so many people believe the bullshit
of these intellectual fakers and pan-African opportunists shows just how badly
revolutionary consciousness has deteriorated in Africa in recent years.
In the face of such cynical misappropriations, it is important to re-establish the
historical truth, and the truth is that none of the coups that have occurred in Africa in
recent years were inspired and fomented by neo-Panafricanists! It has always been
the military elites themselves who have taken the initiative when the civilian elites
have restricted their advantages and privileges, or threatened to do so (as in
Guinea and Niger), or when they have proved incapable of ensuring their security
and privileges in the face of advancing jihadists, or of resolving contradictions with
their imperialist masters in their favor (as in Mali and Burkina Faso). In fact, in the
only country where the neo-Panafricanists have tried to play apprentice-putschist,
it’s been a total failure, with hundreds of young people and children needlessly
sacrificed. Indeed, the neo-Panafricans had led them to believe that if they
demonstrated, the military would side with them and overthrow the regime. But
when the pro-regime forces of disorder fired on the demonstrators, killing hundreds
of them, the pro-putsch military did nothing to defend them.
5.
True African revolutionaries must therefore be reminded of a number of historical
truths and Ancestral wisdoms, so that they do not allow themselves to be misled
and distracted by the opportunistic agitation of the neo-Panafricoons and the cynical
manipulations of their new putschist masters.
The first is that there is no such thing as revolution by proxy. Either you make it yourself, or you shut up and hide in your hole of cowardice.
6.
The second is that « in the neo-colonial system, coups don’t bring you closer to revolution; on the contrary, they take you further away from it ».
Indeed, putsches are nothing more than the symptoms and outcome of internal
conflicts that pit the civilian neo-colonial elite against the military neo-colonial elite
within the same corrupt, parasitic and reactionary ruling class that serves
imperialism in Africa. If the putschist soldiery uses anti-imperialist rhetoric, it’s just
opportunism and cynicism. With the help of panafricoon pseudo-revolutionaries, the
military is using anti-imperialism and pan-Africanism to deceive and manipulate the
people and win their support. Then, they will use the people as cannon fodder to
win the class rivalry against the civilian elite, dissuade the imperialists from
intervening in support of the latter, and delay as long as possible the foreseeable
moment of their fall to the jihadists.
But *once the military putschists have neutralized their civilian rivals, not only
will they never return power to the popular masses, worse still, they will take
advantage of the current political confusion and do everything in their power
to eliminate the true revolutionaries*. This applies both to those who were naïve
or imprudent enough to support them (as shown by the case of the attempted
elimination of the pan-African and left-wing Malian leader by the putschist junta in
Mali) and to those who did not allow themselves to be manipulated by them (like the
Sankara family and the true Sankarists in Burkina Faso). And once they’ve
managed that, they’ll reconcile themselves with a new civil bourgeoisie, with the
jihadists (whom they can’t defeat militarily, because they’re too inept for that) and
the imperialists (whom they continue to adore and want to serve, despite their
hypocritical, demagogic anti-imperialist rhetoric).
7.
Finally, as we saw in Sudan, when our brave people made it clear to the military
that they no longer accepted their cynical manipulations and were no longer
prepared to let them confiscate power and destroy their hopes for change, these
criminals in uniform dropped their masks and went back to torturing, raping and
massacring our Sisters, Brothers, Parents and Children as they had been doing for
decades. And when the exacerbation of their internal contradictions led them to the
situation where the only way for them to avoid destroying the country was to return
power to the people, what did they do? They preferred to destroy the country rather
than lose power. *Only panafricoon pseudo-revolutionaries are happy to have
the people’s organic enemies exercise power in their place*.
8.
So what should real revolutionaries do in coup situations? Without going into all the
details of revolutionary tactics in the context of the collapse of the neo-colonial
state, here are a few tips for real revolutionaries:
8.1. First, intelligent revolutionaries understand that *everything that weakens the
neo-colonial state and aggravates its crises must be exploited and amplified
to accelerate its destruction*.
8.2. In the case of coups, this means that instead of supporting neo-colonial
criminals in uniform against other neo-colonial criminals in civilian clothes,
intelligent revolutionaries must at worst stay out of their internal conflicts, at
best exacerbate and aggravate them to precipitate the total rupture between the two
factions of this parasitic and criminal class, and if possible drive them to tear each
other apart and kill each other irretrievably.
8.3. Once one of the factions emerges victorious from their internal struggles,
revolutionaries must take advantage of the fact that it will be weakened to destroy it
completely and mercilessly. Then, they must seize power to complete the
revolution, and not commit the idiocy of leaving it or giving it to lawless and faithless
tropical rambos… .
8.4. But, of course, to succeed in doing this, you must rely solely on your own
strength, be intelligent, well-organized, methodical, disciplined, professional and
hard-working, and have unshakeable faith in your own ability to defeat the external
enemies of the African people and their local puppets.
Panafri-putschism is the infantile disorder of the panafri-fearful and panafri- lazy.
May the Ancestresses and Ancestors preserve Africa from the criminals in uniform
and their panafri-putschist sycophants, and may they continue to inspire and bless
true revolutionaries and guide them to final victory!
Ashe!

This is an extract and adaptation of the article » Overcoming the Kati syndrome and putting an end to tropical rambophilia: the Illusions of panafri-putschism at the trial of Ancestral Revolutionary Wisdom », to be read in the book *« Revolution(s), not Transition(s) »*, to be published soon.
*Prologue (August 31, 2023):*
After writing these lines, we learned of a coup in Gabon. In a WhatsApp group of
nearly 300 activists from the Continent and the Diaspora, we tried to calm the naïve
enthusiasm of fellow panafri-putschists, as the Gabon case confirms our analyses in
every respect. In response, one of them first insulted us, then threatened to kill us!
In the past, we’ve often been confronted with this kind of psychopathological
reaction from pan-Africanists who had endorsed and supported Uncle Obama. This
is how we came up with the concept of the « Obama curse » (or « Obama
syndrome », or « pan-Obamanism ») to characterize the attitude of the pan-Africanists
who like to live in their political illusions, identify so strongly with their false heroes
that any criticism of them is seen as a personal attack, and are ready to kill real
revolutionaries to defend their illusions.
